Denial

I'm pretty sure that summer is not over yet. The weather is still gorgeous. The lake is still the perfect temperature. There is still a lot of fun to be had. I see school buses all over the roads and I got a letter in the mail that I was supposed to take Ella to school today, but I'm pretty sure summer is not over.

I'm also pretty sure that I'm too young to have a daughter in first grade. Although she is smart as a whip and very ready for first grade, she's still small enough to be in preschool. Can I take her to preschool instead?

Yes...I'm in denial. I'm going to return to my lounge chair by the lake until I'm ready for all of this.
